Brunch and cakes!

This is me wearing my new MAC's Viva glam 6 LE lipstick; it took me a long search after finally buying it from Lot 10 after searching in Bermuda, MidValley and Pavilion. Haha. I really love it, think I should buy 4 more as back-ups but Laughton knew me too well, only to say that I will say the same thing when they have new collections. But this is limited edition (LE).. Darn! Anyway, I had a brunch date with my good friend, Stephanie. We decided to head to Delicious at Bangsar Village and then off to Alexis for some pavlova and coffee before going shopping then home.
This is my first fish and chips after 3 months, I used to have this when I was in UK or Bermuda. Haha, I really love fish and chips. Only thing is, when I eat it in Malaysia, I get to eat it with chilli sauce and that makes it taste even better. But I also like it with honey mustard!
This costed me Rm28. Still pretty good price for a nice lunch like this. The batter was crispy and it would have been better if it were beer batter and a cod fish. :)
After that we headed off to Alexis as I told Stephanie that we should head to Alexis' for their pavlova or cakes. And I was so pleased when I saw the whole pavlova on their cakes display!! I have been trying to buy it for years, probably just wrong timing as each time I went there, it was sold out. My lucky day today! Yay!
Look at the pavlova!! Its amazingly heavenly. Best one that I've ever had.
Complete with a cup of cappuccino. And of course a great companion for the day! Thank you Stephanie for the lovely tea treat!
Finally, a picture of me and my afternoon tea at Alexis, Bangsar.

Lunch at Damansara Utama

My aunty took me to this restaurant nearby her office in Damansara Utama to try out the wan tan mee and this is just opposite Damansara Uptown and we had the yam cake for our starter and the homemade yam cake dipped with some chili sauce was really good!! Prices here are really reasonable too.

The Menglembu wan tan mee. I think it should be from a place or an area but whatever it is, it was good! Char siu was tasty and the noodles was abit springy or crunchy, accompanied by some nice wan tans. Overall, I will be back here again for sure!

Close up view. Yummy

Dinner at Ming Chun Kee, Section 17 PJ

I headed out to dinner with my aunty and May to a nearby restaurant just at Section 17 and the food is pretty good here and best part, the decent pricing. All three dishes for just about RM40! We ordered Japanese hot plate tofu, claypot curry fish head and spinach with dried scallops and anchovies.

Klang Bah Kut Teh

It was Labour's Day and it was also a public holiday over here in Malaysia so Chua, Angela, Amy and me decided to head to Klang for my "big tree" bah kut teh shop. I could vaguely remember how to get there and this is one of the place we used to frequent like 3 times a week during some audit period for one of my audit clients. We called it the big tree shop because this place had a big tree within the compound, and seriously it was BIG. I only take the dry version of the bah kut teh here in this shop. When I come to this shop, the below dishes are almost standard dishes for me, I must order them! Probably because I think they are just fantastic. We had a pork siesta that day, judging by the photos haha.

Below, entry #1- Original bah kut teh.

Check out those meat!
Entry #2- Dry version bah kut teh. Awesome!
Entry #3. Fresh romaines. We needed some greens to make us feel less guilty.
Entry #4- Steamed tofus with fishballs.

This was how my plate looked like. No, actually more food was piled up. :) We had a great time, great companion and of course, great food. Bill came up to around RM50 and thanks to Chua for lunch!
